Make More Sales with Revenue Generating Activities

In episode 39 of The Breakthrough Babe Podcast, I’m talking about how you can start making more sales by focusing your time on revenue-generating activities. You most likely started your business because you wanted to help as many people as possible, which is awesome. But you also need to remember that you can’t help many people if you’re not making money. That’s where making more sales comes in. You have to start by focusing on your time.

Look at where you’re spending your time.

If you want to make more sales, you have to look at where you’re spending your time. I want you to do an audit of your time. Track and write down the time you’re spending on various activities for one week. Then at the end of the week, evaluate what you wrote down.
 
When you do this time audit, you’ll probably find that you’re spending a lot of time on low dollar tasks, things that other people could be doing for you (Be sure to listen to my conversation with Louise Sandoval in episode 38 for more great info on delegating). And you’ll probably see that you’re spending time in areas you don’t need to, and those areas can be exchanged for activities that generate revenue.

Focus your time on revenue-generating activities. 

However much time you’re spending on revenue-generating activities is proportional to the sales you’re going to make. When you evaluate your time, exchange the areas of time you’re wasting with things that will generate revenue: discovery calls, creating DMs, sales pages, email sequences. Remember to grow your business, you actually have to do things that grow your business! It’s deceptively simple. We just get caught up in distractions so easily.
 
Remember that your time is NOT free! And it’s not something you can get back. To make more sales, you have to focus your time and energy on what’s going to actually make you money.
