Acknowledge Your Accomplishments; Plan Ahead

What stops us from acknowledging our accomplishments.

I’ve noticed a pattern in many of my conversations with my one-on-one clients. A lot of them are looking back on their year and saying that they wished they had done more. They tend to get frustrated with themselves for the things they didn’t accomplish. Maybe you feel this way about your year too. For us high-achievers, it’s so easy to focus on all the things we still need to do. We feel like we should have accomplished more. But we’re not giving ourselves enough credit for all the things we DID accomplish.

Think back on this year and all the adjustments you had to make. If you’re a parent or step parent, think about all the adjustments you had to make for your family. It’s a LOT! Maybe you had to become a teacher in addition to being an entrepreneur. Maybe you had to put yourself out there in the digital world for the first time. Maybe you launched something completely brand new. Whatever it is, you DESERVE to acknowledge your accomplishments and feel good about it! Remember that you can choose your mindset. You can choose thoughts that leave you frustrated, or you can choose thoughts that make you feel good.

In this episode of The Breakthrough Business Babe Podcast, I’m sharing principles of marketing that are effective in ANY time and situation!

Why acknowledging your accomplishments is so important.

If you’re only focusing on the things you didn’t do, it’s just going to bring you down. You won’t feel proud or motivated to plan ahead well for the new year. You need to give yourself more credit, girl! Everything that you accomplished this year is laying the foundation for next year. Focus on the abundance of what was created this year, rather than the lack. When you’re focusing on the abundance, you’re going to feel so much more positive and excited about your future. That’s going to propel you into making further accomplishments.

I also want you to remember that, whether you fell short of or exceeded your revenue goals for the year, numbers do not define you. The number in your bank account is not who you are. You are so much more than however much you made this year. What kind of person did you become this year? How did you develop your values and ethics? Where did you grow and show resilience? THAT is so much more important than any number.
